A Bit About Me
I am currently a postdoctoral scholar in the Phillips lab in the Department of Integrative Biology at Oregon State University. I am interested in using a truly integrative approach to answer complex biological questions.

My road to academia didn't start in the usual route. I am part of a club so small that I can't even find stats that I can cite to tell you how small it is. I started my journey in higher ed as a high school dropout and a young parent. I worked my way through community college, then transferred to OSU, where I dove into teaching and research.

I found my way into a graduate position, and went on to not only earn my PhD, but to become an NSF Graduate Research Fellow along the way.

My life centers around my family, my research, and my role as an educator.

It's a pretty great life.
